Experience is probably the biggest factor in becoming a great DJ. Just like anything practice is required to excel. Double "H" Entertainment has been in business over 20 years. All of our DJs have 10+ years and a minimum of 3 years experience as either a club DJ, mobile DJ or a technical diploma in the music industry.


An entertainer is what a DJ is. Again, anyone can press play to start the music, but can they get on the mic and entertain the crowd? A great DJ needs to be able to use his voice to engage the crowd and help build energy. Whether it's to just make announcements, or to be full on interactive, by playing games with the crowd, a DJ needs to be able to grab your attention and ensure you have a great time.


We are professional DJs. This is our career, and we take it very seriously by practicing and performing at over 100 gigs a year. Keeping our music up to date, and ensuring we have the specific music required for each event. Your DJ will know what song to play, and when to play it, to ensure the best music mix possible. Only years of experience can teach you this.


Music is the main component of any party. Double H Entertainment has spent over 20 years researching and compiling a vast music library as well as staying on top of today's latest hits. Double "H" Entertainments DJs know their tunes and how to mix them, again, a talent that only great a DJ possess. On average your DJ will have over 250,000 songs at an event and we encourage as much input from our clients and guests as possible before and during the event.


Planning the perfect event takes time. Double "H" Entertainment offers a simple, yet very effective planning guide to help our clients choose the right music for their event. We can also offer a top 200 and top 50 lists to help with your music selections. Exerience has shown us that input from our clients and guests will ensure we have all the music requests required to provide a fun and entertaining event.


Equipment is essential. Dad's home stereo doesn't cut it today nor does your best friends iPod selection and a speaker. Double "H" Entertainment uses only industry standard professional equipment. Each package has a minimum 1200 watts of sound. Each of our DJs uses professional mixing software from Serato or VDJ. On average we are bringing over $8000 worth of equipment to an event including powered speakers, Laptop computers, with Pioneer DJ Controllers, harbinger mixers, Audio Technica cordless microphones, American DJ & Chauvet dance lights. The best events are always well-lighted events. Uplighting provides a stunningly elegant effect, that will enhance practically any reception hall or event center. When your guests enter into the room for your event, visual will play the biggest role in setting the proper tone (or ambiance) over any of the person's senses. It creates an initial impression and, when done properly, it raises the expectations of guests which is key to a successful event. When your guests come in, impressed and expecting a good time, it makes the entire night flow more smoothly. For Uplighting, we use LED par can fixtures exclusively (these won't burn curious children) and generally place them against the wall baseboards, aiming up along the wall. They can be programmed to gently roll between colors or to stay on a single, static color or sometimes we might alternate between two different colors (one blue, & one white for example), depending on the client's wishes. These are used to accentuate wall space and room architecture and can be dramatic or sub-dued (sparse). Most clients choose color-change, as it's a bit more dramatic. Also regular equipment updates ensure the best quality sound.


Professionalism is a requirement for our DJs. Proper dress-code, politeness and accommodating our clients needs, is our standard. Our Djs are here to serve our clients including all the pre-planning of their days needs. Flexibilty is a quality that our clients enjoy as our DJs are aware things may change along the way. Local DJs: Double "H" Entertainment DJs has been serving the QC venues for 20 years. Having a working relationship with key venues and staff is paramount in creating a seamless event. Distraught clients call us multiple times a year because they have hired a "non local" DJ whose car broke down or a road is closed. There is a lot more to being a great DJ than just having some songs on a laptop or iPod and a couple of speakers.
